Comments: At Spartan Chemical Company, the tagline is “we make clean simple.” The company is a recognized leader in cleaning and sanitation solutions for the industrial and institutional market. As a proud US employer, Spartan formulates and manufactures high quality products from its state-of-the-art facility in Maumee, OH and sells both domestically and internationally through a select network of distribution. Spartan’s products and services are used in building service contractor, education, food service and processing, health care, industrial, lodging/hospitality, and vehicle care markets.
In 2019 the company focused on promotion and placement of its foamyiQ hand hygiene system—and it looks like it paid off. foamyiQ won the ISSA Innovation Award in the dispenser category and is the result of years of analysis, customer feedback, and product engineering.
“When Spartan started working on foamyiQ, we wanted to produce something that was unique and innovative not just another hand hygiene system,” said Cali Sartor, vice president of marketing and advertising. “We employed an open innovation platform to solicit fresh concepts from outside the professional skin care industry. Then, we worked to take foamyiQ from a piece of paper, to prototype, and then to the award-winning product it is today.”
With its innovative design, facilities can stop spending time and money installing, repairing, and replacing broken soap dispensers. No refilling is needed. The innovative cartridge is the dispensing mechanism; when the foamyiQ cartridge is empty, users remove it from the support bracket, recycle it, and snap on a fresh, clean one.
