Coming in at No. 1,391 is Bellame Beauty. Founded by Melissa and Scott Thompson, Melissa held tenures at top direct sales beauty companies. The company offers skincare and body products along with a new wellness line via science-backed, luxury beauty, and an innovative business model.

Korres

Ranking in at No. 4,659 on the list is Korres. The natural Greek skincare and beauty products supplier was inspired by homeopathic remedies and formulated using innovative technology. Bestsellers include Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser and Apothecary Wild Rose Brightening Sleeping Facial.

Nature's Fusions

Ranking in at No. 3,958 is Nature's Fusions. Founded in 2009 by brothers David and CJ Peterson, the company started as a small essential oil distribution company for family and friends. It eventually became a leading provider of 100% pure, natural, and authentic essential oils and other all-natural products.

Statia

Statia, which bills itself an "obsessively researched skincare brand" using only effecive and essential ingredients, ranks in at No. 3,323. Prospective consumers can take a skincare quiz on the official website and founder & formulator, Alli Reed, will suggest products.

Boinca Therapeutics

Boinca Therapeutics ranks in at No. 2,172. The company focuses on dermatology, skin-aging, and age-related skin diseases. Its team of scientists, doctors, and business leaders develop long-term solutions to improve the health and appearance of aging skin and to treat and prevent age-related skin disorders.

Klar & Co.

Klar & Co comes in at No. 2,085. The company's brands include Azur, a best-selling brand with TJ Maxx Australia, Clear Beauty, Element, Fortify +, Natural Chemist, Pure Formula, Repair Beauty, Skin 2.0 and Skin Aesthetics.

Skin Gym

Skin Gym ranks in at No. 2,009. The skincare brand offers a range of professional luxury beauty tools, facial rollers, gua sha and skin care products like masks for the face, lips and under eyes.

Cocofloss

Oral care brand Cocofloss comes in at No. 1,868. Founded in 2015 by Dr. Chrystle Cu, a preventative dentist, and her sister, Catherine Cu, a financial analyst, the company has more than tripled its business in the last three years. Over the last three years, the number of dental customers on Cocofloss's pro-only site has grown by 172%. More and more dentists and hygienists are switching to Cocofloss due to its textured weave actually removes plaque that "gliding" floss leaves behind, according to the company. The Cocobrush, its super-soft toothbrush, boasts bristles that are 40% finer and are 16x better at removing plaque between teeth than an average toothbrush.

Soapbox Soaps

Coming in at 1,703 is Soapbox Soaps. Makes organic body washes, bath bombs, shampoo, conditioner, foaming hand soap and more. Purchases help benefit sustainable projects for those in need.

Cosset

Ranking in at No. 1,583 is Cosset. Founded by CEO David Danzig in 2007, the company named for the term that means "to care for and protect in an overindulgent way," has an array of bath and body products to help those decompress and destress. Its flagship product is The George" Body Butter named for his son to help relieve chronic eczema.

Sparkle & Co.

Ranking in at No. 1,553 is Sparkle & Co. Creates and sells salon quality polishes, dip powders, gel polishes, chromes and more.

Innersense Organic Beauty

Coming in at No. 1,518 is Innersense Organic Beauty. The brand utilizes organic chemistry to raise the bar on clean, luxurious formulas with professional performance to care for your hair, health and planet. Dedicated to wellness through uplifting affirmations, self care and hair ceremonies, our mission is to inform, inspire and empower beauty professionals and consumers to make healthy choices with a brand that aligns with their personal values.

Goodwipes

The flushable personal care wipes came in at No. 1,442. The brand makes 100% biodegradable, plant-based wipes that are septic-safe.

Ph D Feminine Health

Ranking in at 1,429 is Ph D Feminine Health. The brand is popular for its best-selling boric acid vaginal suppositiories.

Crown Laboratories

Ranking in at No. 1,305 is Crown Laboratories. This is the ninth time the company has made Inc.'s 5,000 list. Jeff Bedard, Crown's CEO called the distinction a recognition of its global workforce efforts. "Our team continuously outperforms expectations, resulting in our ability to leverage significant business opportunities that lead to product portfolio and revenue growth," said Bedard. "We are committed to skin science for life, bringing innovation and best-in-class technology to the market."

Tao Clean

Ranking in at No. 1,143 is Tao Clean. The personal care company offers self-sanitizing, automatic charging, and heated drying Sonic Toothbrush and Facial Cleansing systems.

Peace Out Skincare

Coming in at No. 838 is Peaceout Skincare. The skincare brand specializes in creating one-step solutions for skin concerns. Earlier this year, the brand launched with the Peace Out Dark Spots Serum. The alcohol-free serum combines a blend of AHAs and potent actives to target dark spots, deliver a brighter complexion, eliminate hyperpigmentation and improve skin’s overall appearance.

Cymbiotika

Cymbiotika ranks in at No. 624. A wide range of organic supplements supports immunity, energy, brain and gut health, anti-aging, stress relief and more.

MaryRuth's Organics

Coming in a No. 469 is MaryRuth's Organics. The company sells a variety of gluten-free vegan and liquid vitamins to support brain, immune, skin, gut health, sleep and more for consumers of all ages.

Ned

Coming in at No. 364, is Ned. Founders Ret Taylor and Adriaan Zimmerman created the Boulder, CO.-based business to help those live thier most "zen" life with a range of organic, full spectrum hemp CBD oils, supplements and more.

Prose

Brooklyn-based direct-to-consumer beauty-tech brand Prose made Inc.'s list at No. 337. This month, the brand launched a new custom styling gel, the latest addition to its line of made-to-order haircare products. The brand said the clean, highly-efficacious multi-use gel provides endless versatility of style and adapts to the customer’s life, specific to where they live and their personal hair texture.

Lovebug Probiotics

Ranking in at No. 253 is Lovebug Probiotics. Partnering with leading scientists, the brand creates and sells a range of supplements for mother and baby with the goal to create the best probiotic strains to ensure a balanced gut microbiome to reflect in the skin.

Vegamour

Ranking in at No. 152 is D2C clean hair care brand Vegamour.Founded in 2016 by CEO Daniel Hodgdon, the products are billed as clean and vegan and formulated with proprietary phytoactive ingredients. The brand sells topical serums, supplements and natural hair maintenance and scalp health products. Last year, the brand announced $80 million in funding from private equity firm General Atlantic to further the brand's organic e-commerce growth and expand into new channels and geographies.

Hero Cosmetics

Coming in at No. 132 on this list is Hero Cosmetics. Co-founded in 2017 by Ju Rhyu, Dwight Lee and Andrew Lee, Hero Cosmetics created the Mighty Patch acne patch. In early 2021, the fast-growing acne patch maker announced its first outside capital, receiving a significant minority growth investment from Aria Growth Partners. The investment enabled the company to fuel continued growth, product innovation and expanded distribution of its innovative, highly-effective and accessibly priced skincare products. According to the company a Hero product is currently sold every 15 seconds in the US and the brand expects over $80 million of retail revenue in 2021.

Herb 'N Eden

Coming in at No. 125, Herb N Eden makes all natural handmade bar soaps and skin care products. Back in March, the Atlanta-based business announced its closure of a $1.2 million investment. The new funding will enable the company to efficiently meet the demands of their rapidly growing clientele without sacrificing their all-natural therapeutic products, which the brand attributes to its burgeoning success.

Athena Club

Ranking No. 84, Athena Club bills itself as "self-care reimagined," the company sells a bevy of everyday essentials, from shaving cream to body lotion, with clean ingredients and high standards. Earlier this year, the company updated its Razor Kit with a new look to match its new Matchpoint Yellow Body Care Collection. The vibrant yellow-green color is inspired by the iconic hue of a tennis ball. The razor kit comes with two five-blade cartridges, an ergonomic razor handle and a magnetic hook for storage.

Inc. Magazine has revealed its 2022 ranking of the Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America. Inc.’s annual list for 2022 is inclusive of 945 repeat honorees, the addition of over 1.17 million jobs and the generation of $317.5 billion.

Here, we round up more than two dozen of the magazine's 5,000 most successful independent companies in America that made the cut in the personal care and beauty space that achieved “spectacular growth” while demonstrating ingenuity and resilience coming out of the pandemic.
