Crayons aren’t just for children. Adults have a canvas, too. And for beauty enthusiasts, it’s their faces.

 

New from Ilia Beauty is the Lip Sketch Hydrating Crayon. The new cosmetics innovation aims to give lippy wearers visibly fuller, more defined lips. But that’s not all. The crayon – which is available in 12 shades and delivers rich color for 12 hours – is packed with hydrating ingredients. Sea succulent, hyaluronic acid, rosehip oil and seaweed extract work to lock in moisture while improving the skin barrier to support softer, smoother and plumper lips, per the brand.

In a clinical study involving 53 consumers, 100% of wearers said lips were smoothed and 98% said lips looked fuller. After a month, 100% said lips were softer and moisturized while 98% said lips looked sculpted and defined. 

 

The Lip Sketch Hydrating Crayon comes with a sharpener. Similar to coloring, the Lip Sketch is used to first line the Cupid's bow and outer lips before shading them in for all-over pigment. 

 

The 12 shades range from pink to red, nude, brown and purple and include: Banquette; Earthen; Blue Note; Gala; Case Study; Genre; Kiln; Piazza; Night Bloom; Pink Door; Pampas; and Rhyme.
